HOME FOR SURFERS AND NON-SURFERS

The small-scale resort is uniquely located on the Kaminda Sorobon: a beautiful winding road that takes you from Kralendijk right through the protected natural area of Lac bay to the world famous surf beaches of Sorobon. I a 5 minutes drive you will find several surf schools to take lessons or rent equipment. Next to the surf opportunities these beaches are very attractive as well for non-surfers: beautiful white sand, turquoise water and several very relaxed bars and restaurants will make you feel great also without surfing.

Red Palm Village is the ideal place to stay for kite surfers as well. Within 10 minutes you will arrive on Atlantis Beach, where kiters from all over the world are performing on the water and in the often strong wind. It’s spectacular to watch!!! 

And after a very intense day on the water you will be home in a couple of minutes to take a refreshing dive into our Magna pool, while chef Corjan is already preparing the evening dinner.

Next to  surfing and kitesurfing there are many other things to do near the park. From canoeing and snorkeling in the mangroves, to horseback riding and swimming in the sea with the horses of Horse Ranch Bonnaire. Or swimming, diving and sailing on the west side of the island. And with Kralendijk just a few minutes away by car you can find yourself dining in one of the many restaurants in our capital in no time.

  • In addition to sports, getting a good night’s sleep, and eating healthily, sometimes medical assistance is essential. ABOUT US

Our honeymoon in 2004 was our first encounter with the island and boy did we enjoy it! Of course in love with each other, but we also immediately fell in love with the island.

Lovely weather, enjoying a glass of wine after yet another snorkel session, fine dining in the night and exploring the island’s wonderful nature while cruising around in our Jeep. Love at first sight! And that love never vanished. In 2010 we bought our first house on the island, which initially served as a holiday house. In 2015 we decided to permanently move to the island and officially become Bonaireans.

Worked as an actor and street-puppeteer for years. In the 80’s he played the role of Big Bird in Sesame Street and presented multiple TV-shows for children. After his TV-career Leo started as executive producer at Endemol productions. In 2000 he founded Annie Connect, Holland’s first and largest homeworkers-based call centre that worked exclusively for charitable institutions. Still too young to retire, so now fully focused on Red Palm Village Bonaire!

Anna studied Communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht. Started her career at Lintas, Unilever’s official marketing agency at the time. Moved on to start her own interim account- and project management firm “Wordt Geregeld” and worked as general director at Annie Connect for 11 years. Has a passion for cooking, is always in for a chat and a drink and found her perfect spot at Red Palm Village.
